WE ARE LOOKING FOR Scrum Master / Project Manager – Flight Control Systems Software

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Project Manager to lead a high-performing team developing flight control software based on PX4 and NuttX, with the role based in Tampere. This role combines agile leadership, technical coordination, and strong stakeholder management—especially in a multi-national, offshore customer environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate Agile/Scrum processes for the flight controller software team and for the system software teams and stakeholders.
  • Own planning, execution and delivery of development tasks and milestones
  • Define, prioritize and follow up on backlog items and sprint activities
  • Ensure clear task ownership, progress tracking and timely delivery
  • Act as the primary interface to customer, ensuring alignment and transparency
  • Coordinate across multi-disciplinary and multi-national teams (software, hardware, communications, systems)
  • Drive continuous improvement in team performance, processes and delivery quality
  • Identify risks, remove impediments and ensure smooth project execution
  • Facilitate communication between engineering teams and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager or similar role in software development
  • Familiarity with flight control systems, UAV/drone technologies and embedded systems
  • Experience with PX4, NuttX, or similar real-time operating systems
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineering teams
  • Experience managing distributed or offshore teams
  • Excellent communication (English) and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Demonstrated ability to define, assign and track tasks effectively
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
