Our Client is a dynamic and fast-growing private equity fund administration service provider, dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions to private capital asset managers and investors.
With a significant global presence and ongoing expansion in Europe, they are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join their Luxembourg Finance team and play a central role in the entity's day-to-day financial management, reporting directly to the European CFO.
Your areas of responsibility:
- Drive the monthly accounting close, including transaction review, journal postings, variance analysis, and management reporting with clear commentary on business performance
- Prepare financial analysis and reporting for the Board of Directors, including annual budgets and forecasts developed in partnership with local and group leadership
- Oversee the quarterly client billing process, fee calculations, invoice generation, and accounts receivable monitoring, partnering with client-facing teams to resolve queries
- Manage accounts payable, vendor approvals, accruals, banking reconciliations, and weekly cash reporting and projections
- Lead all regulatory and statutory compliance obligations, including CSSF filings, VAT returns, corporate tax filings, and the annual statutory audit
- Monitor relevant legislative developments at Luxembourg and EU levels (including ATAD, DAC6, and Pillar Two) and assess their impact on the entity
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across the finance function, maintaining policies aligned with both Luxembourg requirements and group standards
- Champion the continued adoption and optimisation of the group ERP system (Microsoft D365 F&O) within the Luxembourg team
- Partner with HR on payroll, benefits, and people analytics, and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
- Directly manage and develop a local finance team, conducting performance reviews, building individual development plans, and fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability
- Coordinate with the Southampton shared services team on intercompany reconciliations, group consolidation, and reporting timelines
Your profile:
- 7+ years of experience in a financial management role, ideally within fund administration, fund services, or the broader private capital industry
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred
- Solid knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP; familiarity with IFRS is an advantage
- Strong understanding of Luxembourg regulatory requirements, including CSSF filings, VAT compliance, and corporate tax obligations
- Proven experience managing statutory audits and engaging with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators
- Comfortable working within a matrixed organisational structure and coordinating with remote shared services and group finance teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; prior exposure to ERP systems (D365 F&O, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop teams across varying levels of experience
- Strong communicator, able to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Highly organised, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Fluency in English is required; French and/or German is a meaningful advantage in Luxembourg's trilingual business environment
