As a Senior Engineer in Virtual Tire Development at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, you will help shape the future of tire innovation. By advancing simulation tools and data-driven approaches, you’ll enable faster, smarter, and more sustainable product development. Your work will directly support how we design, manufacture, and deliver high-quality tires—making a real impact across our global operations.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead technical delivery of engineering projects, guiding initiatives from concept through to implementation
  • Develop and enhance simulation tools (FEA and data-based methods) to improve product and process performance
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across development, manufacturing, and quality to bring new solutions to life
  • Translate product requirements into simulation, experimentation, and validation plans
  • Explore and introduce innovative technologies that strengthen our capabilities
  • Support and mentor engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.


What we’re looking for

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Experience in product development, manufacturing, or simulation (e.g. Structural FEA, CFD, or heat transfer)
  • Strong programming skills (such as Python, C/C++, or similar) and experience with data-driven and machine learning approaches
  • Experience solving complex technical challenges using analytical and computational methods

Preferred

  • Product development and/or Manufacturing experience in Tire, Rubber or Polymer industry
  • Experience with nonlinear FEA, polymer processing, or viscous flow/chemical kinetics modeling
  • Familiarity with Linux environments, scripting, and CAD for complex geometries
  • Experience leading projects or supporting the growth of others through mentoring or collaboration
