Job Description

Experian is looking for a Product Analyst to help support Mortgage Solutions. This is a remote position reporting to the Senior Product Director. Mortgage is a growing business within the Experian ecosystem, providing solutions for the mortgage lifecycle, including prospecting, loan origination, loan servicing, risk management, and capital markets. Examples of solutions that Experian provides include portfolio analytics, machine learning-based propensity and risk models, attributes, client analytics and custom modeling, and thought leadership.

You will focus on the development, and management of products within the mortgage division. The Product Analyst will work with Product Managers, cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define product features, and ensure successful maintenance of the products. You will use your knowledge of the mortgage industry, product management, and analytical skills to lead product development, and meet goals.

If you have experience with product development, a good eye for identifying market needs, and experience translating requirements into product features, then this is the role for you. You'll be able to apply your product management skills to guide new product opportunities and provide guidance on market trends. You will give presentations on product updates and demos to all levels at Experian and to Experian clients.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the product needs of the mortgage industry through interactions with internal product management and sales leaders, clients, and partners.
  • Support product development projects from concept through launch, including requirement gathering, feature definition, and product testing.
  • Develop product documentation, including product roadmaps, user guides, and training materials.
  • Communicate with and deliver presentations to end-users on product features and updates.
  • Help enhance current products and the development of new products and services.
  • Evaluate new market trends and competitor products to identify opportunities for product innovation.
  • Work interactively with a team of trained and experienced consultants, statisticians, analysts, and project managers.
  • Manage your own project queue and develop streamlined workflows with teams.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferably in a related field (Business, Marketing, Economics, or related).
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience in product management in capital markets or mortgage servicing.
  • Experience in product development and management, including requirement gathering and feature definition.
  • Experience in market analysis and competitive analysis.
  • Experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL) and data analysis tools.
  • Experience working in a cloud-based development environment and using product management tools.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and product updates both verbally and in writing to any audience.
  • Detail-oriented individual that can work in cross-functional teams.
