Project Manager (Cost Controller)

Location: Bucharest (The Light One Building, Iuliu Maniu Boulevard)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Cost Controller Manager) to join our transportation team, responsible for monitoring, controlling, and reporting project costs on large-scale transport and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, finance teams, and external partners to ensure budget adherence, cost optimization, and achievement of financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with approved budgets
• Analyze variances between planned and actual costs, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions
• Prepare and update financial reports and forecasts for management review
• Collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and contractors to validate costs and estimates
• Utilize specialized tools (Primavera P6, advanced Excel) for cost planning and control
• Participate in project reviews and internal/external audits related to cost management

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in cost control and financial management of large projects, preferably in transport, infrastructure, or construction sectors
• Good knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project is good to have, but not mandatory
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, macros are a plus)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
