Java Software Engineer

Role: Java Security Engineer

Location: Amsterdam, NL

Type: Contract

Job Description:

• Lead the investigation, analysis, and resolution of security vulnerabilities across enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Collaborate with security teams to validate findings, document false positives, and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Upgrade and maintain Java and TypeScript/JavaScript dependencies to ensure secure and stable application performance.
• Resolve vulnerabilities in legacy and unsupported open-source libraries through remediation or replacement strategies.
• Ensure all security enhancements and code fixes maintain existing application functionality and system stability.
• Design and develop scalable enterprise solutions using Java SE/JEE, Spring Framework, JMS, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Work with modern frontend technologies including Angular, Observables, Redux, and TypeScript.
• Integrate applications with IAM solutions and implement authentication protocols such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SSO.
• Contribute within Agile, test-driven, and globally distributed development environments with strong collaboration skills.
• Apply software design patterns, integration patterns, and enterprise architecture best practices in secure application development.
• Added advantage for experience with Apache Camel, Apache Kafka, Jenkins, and CI/CD orchestration platforms.
