Want to work in a field that’s anything but ordinary?

Energy trading systems are real-time, market-critical platforms where correctness, latency, and reliability directly impact trading outcomes across the Baltics.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Zeus Team and help build and evolve the systems behind energy trading and flexibility services. You will work on high-impact distributed systems, contribute to architecture decisions, and take ownership of production-grade software in a complex and fast-moving domain.

Your contribution to this goal is to:

  • actively shape the technical direction through design discussions and implementation;
  • collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Solution Architects to shape the future of our energy trading and flexibility systems;
  • design and implement robust, secure, and maintainable software solutions for real-time data flows and market integrations;
  • mentor and support team members while fostering knowledge sharing and engineering best practices;
  • drive improvements in performance, reliability, and deployment processes;
  • contribute hands-on to development, code reviews, and system design.

With us, you can:

  • develop and shape mission-critical systems at the heart of Enefit’s energy trading and flexibility ecosystem;
  • work in a complex, high-impact domain that directly contributes to a sustainable energy future;
  • work with modern technologies and enjoy creative freedom in solution design;
  • be part of a supportive, learning-driven culture alongside talented colleagues;
  • enjoy 5 additional vacation days after your first year;
  • choose a well-being package that suits you, including health insurance and/or Stebby services.

You are a great match if you have:

  • a strong background in software engineering, architecture, or DevOps;
  • a strong experience with C#/.NET Core (or other languages, with a willingness to switch to C#);
  • experience with frontend frameworks (For example: React, Angular, Vue);
  • strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MSSQL;
  • a solid understanding of event-driven systems and streaming platforms, including Kafka and WebSockets;
  • familiarity with microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines;
  • a proactive and collaborative mindset, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions;
  • a strong cultural fit: you value clarity, collaboration, curiosity, and mentorship, enjoy helping teams grow, and thrive in a learning-focused environment;
  • willingness to take full operational ownership, including system monitoring, reliability, incident management, and participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation;
  • bonus: an understanding of data lakehouse architectures (e.g., Apache Iceberg, Starburst, and medallion architecture).
