NOC Analyst

Optomi, in partnership with a premier client, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Network Engineer to join the client's Technology Operations Center. This role is critical in providing 24/7 monitoring and support for our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability across all systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and be able to deliver exceptional Level 1 to Level 1.5 support for network, compute, and application operations.

Qualifications of the Right Candidate:

• 1-2 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a Helpdesk or similar environment. Some exposure to network and infrastructure support is ideal.
• Familiarity with tools such as BigPanda, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Splunk, or ServiceNow (SNOW) is a plus. Comfort with monitoring systems and incident tracking platforms is essential.
• Understanding of network performance monitoring, troubleshooting network-related issues, and basic knowledge of ISPs, routers, and switches. Experience with Cisco networking equipment is a plus.
• Experience supporting both Windows and Linux environments. Basic familiarity with system administration tasks is beneficial.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., development, application support, and infrastructure teams) and escalate issues to vendors or account representatives when necessary.

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:

• Monitor network performance and infrastructure operations through continuous eyes-on-glass monitoring.
• Provide Level 1 to Level 1.5 technical support for remote and data center networks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Support Infrastructure Operations for both Windows and Linux environments.
• Assist in application and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) support, collaborating with development teams to resolve incidents and enhance performance.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system, ensuring clear communication and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in monitoring and support processes
