Freelance Node.js Engineers Wanted - Swedish Contractors Only

We’re looking for experienced freelance Node.js engineers to join a fast‑moving product team working on large‑scale systems used across the Nordics. This is a contract role for hands‑on developers who want to work end‑to‑end on impactful features within a modern JavaScript ecosystem.

You’ll be joining a small, highly capable engineering group building products that handle real‑time workflows and complex data processing across multiple markets.

What you’ll work on:

• Backend-heavy Node.js services powering business‑critical operations
• High‑volume data workflows and event-driven systems
• Internal web platforms and tools used by operational teams daily
• Integrations with third‑party APIs and external partners
• Scaling services across multiple markets with a focus on performance and reliability
• Building clean, functional frontends where needed (light React work)

Tech stack:

• Backend: Node.js (TypeScript), Express/Nest
• Frontend: React, Next.js (light usage for contractors)
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB
• Cloud: AWS (infrastructure handled by the platform team, but hands‑on experience is important)
• Modern CI/CD tooling and automation
• Exposure to LLM tools or automation is a plus, not a requirement

Who we’re looking for

• Senior freelance engineers based in Sweden
• Strong working experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and API‑driven backend architecture
• Comfortable building scalable, production-ready systems
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced, product-driven environments
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with product and engineering teams
• Experience with system integrations, distributed systems, or event-driven architectures is highly valued
