About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our dynamic team at Kaav Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ecommerce applications for the Android platform. Your expertise will contribute to creating seamless, high-performing mobile experiences that meet our clients' needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define new features, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the overall quality and responsiveness of our applications. As a key member of our development team, you will also have the opportunity to lead and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Android application development.
• Expertise in Java and the Java Development Kit (JDK).
• Proficiency with the Android SDK and a strong understanding of Android UI components, including Fragments and custom view development.
• Experience developing multithreaded and networked applications.
• Advanced debugging and analysis skills, including extensive use of Android Debug Bridge (ADB).
• Proven experience in designing and developing complete Android applications from conception to deployment.
• Experience with application submission and provisioning processes on the Google Play Store.
• Demonstrated ability to lead small development teams, delegate tasks effectively, and mentor junior developers.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging in both technical and non-technical discussions.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ecommerce applications for Android devices, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to define, design, and implement new features.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and other issues to enhance app stability and responsiveness.
• Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Lead the development team by providing technical guidance, mentoring, and delegating tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, and incorporate them into the development process.
• Participate in the application submission process, ensuring compliance with platform guidelines and standards.
• Document development phases and monitor application performance metrics to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
