About the Role:

They are looking for a DevOps/SecOps Engineer to take ownership across infrastructure, security and internal IT systems. This is a hybrid role, combining AWS infrastructure, Terraform/OpenTofu, CI/CD, security controls, identity management, policy development and wider IT oversight.

TThe role would suit someone with a strong background in DevOps, infrastructure, IT security or cloud security who enjoys broad ownership across AWS infrastructure, security governance and internal IT operations. You will be responsible for helping the business build secure, scalable and well-managed infrastructure as the platform grows.

Responsibilities:

• Build, manage and improve secure cloud infrastructure in AWS.
• Own and improve security controls, policies and procedures across the organisation.
• Manage identity and access controls across Azure and Entra ID.
• Support conditional access, device lifecycle management, patching and monitoring.
• Implement and maintain cyber security frameworks, controls and best practices.
• Work with AWS services including IAM, VPC, Security Hub, GuardDuty, CloudTrail and Organisations.
• Use Terraform/OpenTofu to manage infrastructure in production.
• Support module design, state management and CI/CD integration.
• Secure deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar CI tooling.
• Use scripting across Python, Bash or PowerShell to automate processes and improve reliability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, security and IT issues across the business.
• Support future ISO27001, SOC 2 or similar security/compliance initiatives.

Requirements:

• 5-10+ years of experience across DevOps, infrastructure, IT security, cloud or SecOps.
• Strong AWS experience across core infrastructure and security services.
• Experience building or managing production infrastructure using Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, monitoring and governance.
• Experience with Azure and Entra ID, particularly identity, access and conditional access.
• Hands-on experience developing or managing security policies and procedures.
• Experience managing device lifecycles, patching, monitoring and endpoint security.
• Strong scripting ability in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to take ownership across a broad technical environment.
• Comfortable working independently in a small, experienced team.
• Experience implementing ISO27001, SOC 2 or similar frameworks is a plus.
• Experience with AWS Control Tower, SCPs and multi-account governance is a plus.
• Experience working in fintech, financial services, investment technology or another high-security environment is a plus.
