Role Description

This full-time role is for a client based in Adelaide, SA supports a cross-functional technology team delivering digital products, platforms, and services within a modern IT environment. The focus is on enabling high-performing teams, improving delivery flow, and embedding agile ways of working across software development, data, and platform initiatives.

The role suits an experienced Scrum Master who is comfortable working in complex IT environments and guiding teams through continuous improvement. Acting as a leader who serves and facilitator, you will support the team in planning, delivery, and stakeholder alignment while removing impediments and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and adaptability. You will work closely with Product Owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure outcomes are aligned to business value and delivered effectively.

Essential Experience and Skills

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in software development or IT delivery environments.
• Strong understanding of Scrum principles and practical application in real-world delivery contexts.
• Experience facilitating agile events including sprint planning, daily scrums, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ability to coach teams and stakeholders in agile ways of working and continuous improvement practices.
• Demonstrated experience removing impediments and improving team flow and delivery predictability.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical perspectives.
• Experience working with Product Owners to manage and refine backlogs aligned to business priorities.
• Proficiency with agile delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams including developers, testers, analysts, and change.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working in scaled agile environments or across multiple teams (e.g. Scrum@Scale or similar).
• Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience supporting digital product delivery, platform development, or data-focused initiatives.
• Background in agile coaching or contributing to organisational agile maturity uplift.
• Familiarity with flow-based practices such as Kanban and metrics such as lead time, cycle time, and throughput.
• Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
• Formal Scrum Master or agile certification (e.g. RSM, CSM, PSM or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in IT, computer science, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience in software or technology environments.
• Scrum Master or agile certification is highly regarded.
• Ongoing commitment to professional development in agile practices, coaching, and modern delivery approaches.
