Senior Infrastructure DevOps Engineer

pawaTech is looking for a Senior Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you will help build and scale modern infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments, improve Infrastructure as Code practices, automate operational processes, and contribute to the development of internal platform services.

You will join a highly technical team working on long-term infrastructure initiatives, including datacenter, development, Kubernetes platforms, infrastructure automation, and large-scale Terraform improvements.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building and maintaining scalable infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments;
• Improving Infrastructure as Code practices and leading Terraform optimisation initiatives;
• Automating infrastructure provisioning, deployments and operational workflows;
• Building and supporting Kubernetes infrastructure and internal platform services;
• Managing infrastructure reliability, scalability, security and performance;
• Working with networking components and infrastructure services;
• Collaborating with engineering teams on infrastructure architecture and operational improvements;
• Participating in incident management and continuously improving operational standards and automation processes.

What makes you a great candidate:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles;
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices;
• Experience working with Linux systems (Ubuntu), networking, and production infrastructure;
• Experience designing reliable and scalable infrastructure for production environments;
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerised infrastructure;
• Experience working with cloud providers such as AWS and GCP;
• Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, redundancy, and operational best practices;
• Experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps;
• Ability to work independently in a goal-oriented engineering environment;
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to make and explain technical decisions;
• Motivation for continuous learning and professional growth;
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience with large-scale Terraform refactoring projects;
• Experience building internal platform engineering capabilities;

• Understanding of operational processes such as incident management, change management, and vulnerability management;
