AI Developer – Truster

At Truster, you'll develop AI-powered solutions that make everyday life smoother for thousands of light entrepreneurs and sole traders. We're in a strong growth phase – and we're now looking for an AI Developer to strengthen our development team!

We're looking for someone with a genuine passion for AI and a steep continuous learning curve – someone who's deep into the AI field, ships prototypes for fun, and gets excited about every new model release.

Your role

As an AI driven developer, you'll play a key role in building the next generation of Truster's products. You'll build features end-to-end using AI tools as a core part of your workflow, integrate LLMs into real production workflows, and push the boundaries of what AI can do for our customers. You'll work closely with other developers, product owners, and external stakeholders to bring modern, intelligent digital services to life. This position is an excellent fit for an AI-native developer who lives and breathes AI, enjoys taking responsibility, and wants to see the direct impact of their work.

We're looking for someone with strong GCP expertise, deep hands-on experience with agentic development, and a genuine passion for staying on the cutting edge of AI.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• designing and implementing features in our systems using AI agents and agentic workflows
• creating well-structured markdown plans
• supporting the team and sharing best practices around AI-assisted development
• integrating LLMs, MCP servers, and tool-use systems into our products
• ensuring code quality, testability, and performance with AI in the loop
• actively contributing to product and architecture decisions

What we hope you bring

Strong experience with the following is essential:

• 10 years of software development experience
• deep hands-on AI experience
• agentic development – building, orchestrating, and shipping with AI agents in production
• Model Context Protocol (MCP) – designing and integrating MCP servers and tools
• working with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, or similar) and prompt engineering
• Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js
• PostgreSQL
• Firebase
• GCP services and networking
• the ability to communicate clearly in both Finnish and English, in writing and verbally

We also appreciate:

• experience as a Scrum Master or in team management
• DevOps-oriented mindset and CI/CD experience
• the ability to support and mentor other developers around AI best practices
• experience with evals, observability, and safety for AI systems
• Terraform

Location

This is primarily an on-site role at our office in Kaisaniemi, Helsinki, with excellent transport connections. One remote day per week is supported – we believe the best AI work happens when the team is in the same room, sharing ideas in real time.
