Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA & Deployment Engineer to join our development team. This is a dynamic role that is central to our commitment to quality and customer success.


The ideal candidate will be the primary QA Engineer for a core company product, taking full ownership of its end-to-end testing lifecycle. Alongside this, you will take a hands-on role in supporting deployment of our software solutions to customer environments. You will be responsible for implementing the test strategy for your product, contributing to our company-wide Quality Management System (QMS) and test automation framework, and managing the integration test lab.


A key part of this position involves acting as a technical expert during customer rollouts, managing software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. This role is perfect for a senior technical QA professional who enjoys working directly with customers and solving complex, real-world challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and own the end-to-end testing lifecycle, from strategy and planning to execution and reporting.
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases (both manual and automated) for our data services platform and integration modules.
  • Drive the selection and implementation of test automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency, reliability, and test coverage.
  • Manage and maintain the integration test lab, ensuring all hardware and software configurations are current.
  • Diagnose, report, and track software defects and enhancements, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Mentor and guide other team members on QA best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Measure and report on key quality metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.


Software Deployment (approx. 30%)

  • Manage and execute the deployment of our software solutions to customer environments (both on-premise and cloud).
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers during the installation, configuration, and go-live phases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to system configuration, integration, and performance in customer environments.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining clear, concise deployment and configuration documentation.
  • Deliver occasional technical training and product walkthroughs to customer IT teams and end-users.


Essential Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role, with a clear progression in responsibilities.
  • Proven, hands-on experience with customer-facing software deployments, installations, and configurations.
  • Strong background in developing test strategies, plans, and cases for complex software systems within a full SDLC.
  • Strong IT administration and troubleshooting skills, particularly with:
  • Microsoft SQL Server (administration, queries)
  • IIS Administration
  • Windows Server environments
  • Demonstrable experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Postman, or similar).
  • Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to manage customer interactions professionally and effectively.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal direction in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Knowledge of development languages or stacks (e.g., .NET, C#) or mobile platforms (Android/iOS).
  • Experience in the Physical Security (PSIM), Energy Management, or Business Intelligence domains.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and associated tools.
  • Formal software testing certification (e.g., ISTQB).
