Scrum Master - MosaiX

The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team currently has 250+ colleagues and is growing.

You will work on a microservices-based platform used across the company to integrate multiple Frequentis Air Traffic Management products. The platform runs on RedHat 10, handles the deployment and configuration of the OS and supports the configuration and orchestration of services packaged as Docker images.

As a Scrum Master, you will enable cross functional teams developing shared services, software packages, and libraries. You will foster effective agile practices, facilitate Scrum events, remove impediments, and act as a servant leader and coach. Working closely with Product Owners, architects, and developers, you will support smooth delivery and alignment with product goals.

We are developing for a safety-critical environment, following industry standards, where high availability and redundancy are basic requirements.

Key Tasks

• Facilitate Scrum and iteration events (planning, review, retrospective, daily meetings) to ensure effective team execution.
• Remove impediments that block the team's progress and hinder productivity.
• Coach the team and organization in Agile and SAFe principles to promote self-organization and continuous improvement.
• Enable effective communication and collaboration between the team, Product Owner, Product Management, and stakeholders.
• Protect the team from disruptions to maintain focus and ensure a sustainable pace.
• Ensure iteration artifacts are kept up to date (backlogs, plans, metrics) for transparency and reporting.
• Support realistic team commitments through story refinement, selection, and task breakdown.
• Support release planning and related preparation activities to align delivery with objectives.

Key Qualifications

• Solid experience as a full-time Scrum Master or in a comparable Agile leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of Scrum and a good understanding of SAFe principles.
• Experience with additional Agile frameworks is considered an advantage.
• Scrum Master certification (SAFe, Agile Alliance, Scrum.org, ...) or similar certifications or educations.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to resolve impediments and support high performing, self-organizing teams.
• Experience collaborating with Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage conflict, foster collaboration, and maintain team focus.
• Comfortable working with metrics, KPIs, and iterative planning processes.
