This role is closely connected to initiatives developed in collaboration with Luwian AI. Luwian AI is focused on building a modern platform for Model Development, Risk Assessment, and Governance, supporting end-to-end workflows for time series analysis, machine learning, scorecard development, and AI-driven systems used by analysts, data scientists, and quantitative teams across various institutions.

All components of the platform, including both the application layer and underlying proprietary libraries, are developed in-house by our engineering and quantitative teams. The integration of healthcare operations, software engineering, and advanced analytics enables us to deliver solutions grounded in correctness, transparency, and explainability, aligned with real-world modeling and risk management practices.

Working Hours:

3:00 PM to 12:00 AM Türkiye time, in alignment with U.S. Eastern Standard Time (EST). Please note: Due to Daylight Saving Time (DST) changes in the U.S., working hours in Türkiye will shift accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain features across the frontend and backend of our platform
• Design clean, intuitive user interfaces for analysts and modeling teams
• Develop and extend backend services, APIs, and data processing pipelines
• Integrate our in-house modeling libraries into the application layer
• Collaborate with product and quantitative teammates to translate requirements into working software
• Take ownership of features end-to-end, from initial design through release and iteration
• Engage in applied research alongside feature work as you help build the platform's core
• Deepen your expertise in data science, predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI on the job
• Contribute to the evolution of our modeling, risk, and governance workflows
• Support data science and ML initiatives where your interests and skills align

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering
• Strong foundation in software engineering, with experience building and shipping production applications
• Proficiency across both frontend and backend development in a modern web stack
• Comfort working with APIs, databases, and data processing workflows
• A research-oriented mindset and genuine curiosity about how things work under the hood
• Ability to take ownership of features end-to-end, from design through release
• Interest in learning data science, predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI on the job
• Bonus: prior exposure to data science, ML, or AI through coursework, projects, or professional work
• Bonus: experience with quantitative, statistical, or risk modeling domains
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
