Middle/Senior Golang Engineer (Node.JS)

About The Role

In this role you will be working on a dynamic cloud-based project, building and deploying containerized services using Go, Docker, and Kubernetes in an AWS-like environment. You will contribute to developing enterprise-level solutions for a broadcast weather platform, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. You will also focus on writing secure, high-performance code and maintaining strong communication with clients within an Agile (Scrum) framework.

Responsibilities

Design, test, build, and deploy performant and secure containerized services in Golang for enterprise software systems
Develop secure software by leveraging output from security scanners to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
Build a trusted relationship with the client
Create and extend existing scene objects for rendering logic to visualize your code in action
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure organic product evolution
Attend and contribute to Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, planning, and retrospectives

Requirements

Advanced experience with Golang frameworks and design patterns for REST API development and database access
Hands-on experience developing containerized services in Golang for enterprise software systems
Practical knowledge of server-side development with Node.js
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases for application data access
Experience with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
Experience with version control using GitHub
Practical experience with AWS services such as EKS, ECR, ALB, VPC, and CloudWatch
Experience working in Agile environments, specifically Scrum
Upper-intermediate English level for spoken communication
Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka (as a win)
Awareness of React front-end development (as a plus)
Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or similar (as a bonus)
