React Native Engineer

For our client, a fast-growing Belgian SaaS scale-up building mobile communication solutions on top of the world's leading contact center platforms, we're looking for a Senior React Native Developer.

Who you are You build things in React Native and you care about how they're built, not just that they run. Whether you're two years in or ten, you take quality seriously, pick things up fast, and you don't wait for someone to hand you the answer. You're collaborative, direct, and you get energy from shipping things that end up on real people's phones at real companies.

What you'll be able to brag about When friends or family ask what you do, you won't be talking about "fixing bugs" - you'll be able to say things like:

• I shipped a feature in a mobile app used by thousands of people at major international companies.
• I debugged a production issue on iOS that had been causing intermittent crashes - found it, fixed it, wrote the test.
• I integrated a new API endpoint end-to-end - from service call to UI - and it held up under load.
• I refactored a messy component into something clean and reusable. The senior who reviewed it said it was exactly what they'd have done.
• I spotted a performance bottleneck that had been there for months, isolated the root cause, and brought render times down by 60%.
• I integrated a real-time communication layer (VoIP/WebRTC) into a mobile app running on Genesys Cloud. It just works.

You'll fit right in if you:

• Have 4+ years in software development
• Know JavaScript and React, and are comfortable (or keen to get comfortable) applying that to React Native
• Understand REST APIs and async data flows - you've worked with them before
• Are fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
• Write clean, readable code and care about getting it right
• Senior profiles bring production-level React Native experience, mobile performance know-how, and ideally some exposure to AWS, VoIP/WebRTC, or CCaaS platforms (Genesys, Amazon Connect, NICE)

• React Native (iOS & Android)
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• REST APIs, state management (Redux, React Query)
• CI/CD pipelines for mobile
• AWS (Lambda, ECS)

Practicalities

• Full time job on payroll (no freelancers)
• Based in Vilvoorde
• Hybrid (2 days on-site)
