Java/Spring Developer

We're working with a scaling Irish tech company building AI-powered products.

They've recently gone through a period of growth and product expansion, and are now hiring a senior backend developer to support the next phase of their platform.

This role sits within a key product stream focused on backend services and infrastructure.

Right now, there's a capacity gap. The team's architect is being pulled into delivery, and they need someone who can come in, take ownership, and help stabilise and scale what's already in place.

You won't just be picking up tickets.

You'll be:

• Building and improving core backend services
• Working across APIs, integrations and system design
• Contributing to architectural decisions
• Helping shape how the team builds going forward
  
  

• Java
• Spring Boot
• AWS (serverless + cloud services)
• REST APIs
• Mix of monolith and microservices
  
  

• 4+ years experience with Java and Spring
• Experience building and working on production backend systems
• Comfortable in environments where there's some ambiguity
• Ability to take ownership and drive work forward

Nice to have:

• Experience in fintech, payments, or security-led environments
• Exposure to AWS or serverless architectures
