We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded technology leader to lead large-scale digital and business transformation programmes for a consultancy organisation. This individual will combine deep technical leadership with strong client engagement, business development, and consultancy delivery experience.
The ideal candidate will have a background in a medium-sized consultancy or a Big 4 consulting environment, where they have successfully led technical teams, delivered enterprise transformation programmes, and contributed to sales growth, client acquisition, and strategic account development.
This is a hybrid leadership role spanning technology strategy, programme delivery, consultancy leadership, and commercial growth.
Transformation & Programme Leadership
- Lead complex enterprise transformation programmes across cloud, data, digital, AI, platform modernisation, ERP, or enterprise architecture domains.
- Own delivery governance across multiple workstreams, ensuring successful execution against scope, budget, timeline, and business outcomes.
- Act as senior technical authority for strategic client engagements.
- Develop transformation roadmaps and target-state architectures aligned to client business strategy.
- Drive operational excellence, delivery quality, and programme risk management.
- Lead executive steering committees and senior stakeholder engagements.
- Manage multi-disciplinary technical teams including architects, engineers, delivery managers, analysts, and external partners.
- Operate as a trusted advisor to C-level client stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, CEOs, and transformation leaders.
- Shape consulting engagements from discovery through implementation and optimisation.
- Build and mature consulting methodologies, delivery frameworks, and governance standards.
- Mentor consulting and engineering teams while helping scale organisational capability.
- Provide strategic guidance on technology operating models, transformation strategy, and organisational change.
- Support revenue growth through client relationship management, strategic account expansion, and new business development.
- Participate in pre-sales activities including solution shaping, RFP responses, proposals, workshops, and executive presentations.
- Develop strong industry and partner networks to identify new consulting opportunities.
- Work closely with sales and leadership teams to build pipeline and drive consultancy growth.
- Contribute to go-to-market strategy and thought leadership initiatives.
- Provide hands-on strategic oversight across modern technology environments including:
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Enterprise architecture
- Data and AI platforms
- Software engineering and DevOps
- Integration and API strategies
- Cybersecurity and governance
- ERP and enterprise systems transformation
- Ensure technical solutions align with scalability, security, operational, and commercial requirements.
- Lead architecture reviews and technology decision-making processes.
Essential Experience
- 12+ years' experience in technology consulting, enterprise delivery, or transformation leadership.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale transformation programmes within consulting or professional services environments.
- Strong consultancy background with experience leading client-facing technical teams.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to business development, account growth, and sales activities.
- Experience operating within a medium-sized consultancy, technology services organisation, or Big 4 consulting firm.
- Experience managing senior client stakeholders and executive governance forums.
- Strong commercial awareness with understanding of consultancy financial models and delivery management.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture and modern technology ecosystems.
- Experience delivering cloud transformation and large enterprise modernisation programmes.
- Knowledge of agile, hybrid, and enterprise programme delivery methodologies.
- Ability to bridge technical strategy with business outcomes.
- Strong risk management, governance, and programme controls experience.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Strong consulting mindset with ability to influence at board and leadership level.
- Proven people leadership and team-building capability.
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and lead through organisational change.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial instincts and delivery discipline.
Ideal candidates may have experience from organisations such as:
- Big 4 consulting firms
- Mid-tier consulting organisations
- Technology transformation consultancies
- Enterprise systems integrators
- Digital transformation firms
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- MBA or postgraduate business qualification desirable.
- Certifications such as:
- TOGAF
- PMP / PRINCE2
- Agile / SAFe
- Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Successful delivery of complex transformation programmes
- Growth of strategic client accounts
- Revenue contribution and pipeline development
