.Net Team Lead – Dublin (AI Driven)

Role Summary
We are seeking a hands-on .Net Team Lead to manage a development team and drive cloud and application modernisation. Reporting to the CTO, you will combine technical leadership with active delivery. The role suits someone who enjoys leading change, improving engineering standards, and introducing modern development and AI-assisted practices.
Responsibilities
Software Delivery & Engineering Leadership
- Own and enhance the full software development lifecycle, embedding CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps best practices
- Ensure delivery is secure, scalable, cost-effective, and aligned to business priorities
- Build a high-performance engineering culture focused on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
Cloud & Platform Modernisation
- Lead migration from legacy systems to modern cloud-based architecture (primarily Azure)
- Define and enforce cloud engineering standards, security controls, and architectural guardrails
- Manage cloud environments with a focus on reliability, cost optimisation, and operational resilience
AI-Driven Engineering Transformation
- Champion adoption of AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or similar)
- Establish governance for AI-generated code including quality, security, and compliance standards
- Identify opportunities for automation across testing, code review, monitoring, and incident response
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business and transformation stakeholders to prioritise delivery and manage technical risk
- Oversee third-party vendors and delivery partners, ensuring quality and value for money
- Provide clear technical documentation, architectural input, and delivery planning support
People & Capability Development
- Mentor and coach engineers to support technical growth and career progression
- Drive upskilling across cloud, modern frameworks, and AI tooling
- Support resolution of complex production and 3rd-line technical issues when required
Experience
- 10+ years in software engineering, including 3–5+ years in a technical leadership or development management role
- Strong background in cloud migration or cloud-native development (Azure preferred)
- Experience retiring or replacing legacy platforms and integration systems
- Proven track record working with mixed teams (internal, contractors, and third parties)
- Experience in regulated or enterprise-scale environments (insurance or motor industry advantageous)
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with modern stacks (e.g. .NET, Node.js, Python, TypeScript, React)
- CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks
- Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Cloud architecture and infrastructure (Azure or equivalent)
- Working understanding of AI-assisted development tools and workflows
Desirable Experience
- Azure certifications (e.g. AZ-305, AZ-400)
- Event-driven and API-first architecture design
- Serverless computing and distributed systems
- FinOps / cloud cost management
- Experience implementing generative AI in enterprise environments
