We are currently hiring an experienced Network Engineer / Field Engineer for onsite infrastructure and datacenter support assignments in and around Cork.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong hands-on experience in network infrastructure, datacenter environments, rack & stack deployments, break-fix support, and field engineering operations.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Perform onsite infrastructure and network support activities

• Rack & stack installation, cabling, patching & labeling

• IMAC and break-fix support for infrastructure equipment

• Troubleshoot hardware, network, and connectivity issues

• Replace defective hardware components and faulty cables

• Support server, storage, backup, and network devices

• Coordinate onsite activities with remote L3 and support teams

• Execute diagnostics, rebooting, component reseating & device replacement

• Perform fiber cleaning, OTDR/LSPM/VFL testing & loopback installation

• Maintain updates and documentation in ticket management systems

• Handle asset tagging, cable management, and physical infrastructure tasks

• Firewalls, Routers & Access Points

• Cisco UCS / Hyper-Converged Infrastructure

• Tape Storage Units & KVM Devices

• Physical Cabling & Cable Management

✅ Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking & datacenter environments

• Experience with Active Directory and domain-based environments

• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals

• Hands-on experience with server/network hardware installations

• Experience in IMAC, break-fix & onsite field support activities

• Familiarity with backup/recovery methodologies and tape management

• Ability to work independently in dispatch-based environments

• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
