I'm partnered with a dynamic and rapidly growing scale-up in the renewable energy sector who are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead their technical strategy and innovation efforts.

As the CTO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our technology roadmap, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful development and implementation of cutting-edge renewable energy solutions. This leadership position will require a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, exceptional management skills, and a proven track record of successfully scaling technology teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technology Strategy and Innovation:

• Develop and execute the overall technology strategy aligned with the company's business goals.
• Drive continuous innovation in renewable energy technologies, keeping the company at the forefront of industry advancements.

1. Team Leadership:

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Provide guidance and direction to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

1. Product Development:

• Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization, ensuring the delivery of robust and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product management to define and prioritize features based on market demands and customer needs.

1. Technology Infrastructure:

• Manage and optimize the technology infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of the company's systems.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CTO or in a senior technology leadership role within the renewable energy or related sectors.
• Strong technical background in areas such as renewable energy technologies, smart grids, and energy storage systems.
• Demonstrated success in scaling technology teams and leading product development initiatives.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
