This is a freelance contract – 8 months initially
The rate is up to €125 per hour (VAT is paid on top), it is 40 hours per week
3 days onsite in the AMS office

Join our team as a Senior Product Manager – Connected Trip! We are seeking a dynamic and innovative professional to lead the evolution of trip planning experiences within a high-impact, 8-month project. In this pivotal role, you will drive the development of AI-powered customer solutions that transform how travellers save, organise, and plan their journeys across the Booking.com ecosystem. What You’ll Do:

• Define and own the 1-year vision for Wishlist and Maps features, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals
• Lead the end-to-end development of innovative AI products, bringing complex ideas from concept to launch
• Drive customer-centric approaches using advanced analytics, customer insights, and experimentation to optimise travel planning features
• Manage cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technical partners to deliver impactful solutions within tight timelines
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by developing research briefs and working closely with Data Science and Insights teams

Required Skills:

• 5-8 years of experience managing large, complex digital products with measurable business impact
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
• Proficiency in product strategy, roadmapping, and delivering high-quality features
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience collaborating across verticals
• Technical fluency and experience working with engineering teams on tradeoff decisions
• Data literacy with experience using analytics and experimentation to inform product decisions

Nice to Have Skills:

• Background in AI, machine learning, or related innovative technologies
• Experience in the travel or marketplace industries
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum or Kanban methodologies
• Prior experience in user research, customer interviews, or insights-driven development

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Computer Science, Design, or related fields
• Demonstrated success in managing strategic, customer-focused products in a highly dynamic environment

Other Requirements:

• Ability to operate effectively within a multicultural and inclusive team environment
• Must be fully compliant with all audit and contractual obligations, particularly for independent contractors based in the NL
