DevOps Engineer

For our client a major financial services organisation based in Basel, we are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a long term contract.

We are looking for An experienced candidate with strong development background who has pivoted into the DevOps space, capable of leading initiatives end to end. Comfortable engaging with developers and end users alike.

Contract: 12 months

Onsite 50% / WFH 50%

Tasks:

• Improve SDLC processes. Including: GitHub pipelines / Ansible Windows playbooks / Application code when necessary
• Work within a team of engineers to deliver end to end solutions
• Liaise with security and infrastructure teams on requirements and best practices
• Document existing and new solutions

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a relevant/comparable position
• Proven experience in delivering large initiatives in DevOps space
• Strong hands-on experience with the following technologies: o One of major CI/CD platforms (ideally GitHub Actions) (****)
• Scripting (Ideally PowerShell or bash)
• Programming in one of major programming languages (ideally C#)
• ELK stack or similar observability technology
• Server administration
• Strong understanding of best practice in security i.e. Secrets management, encryption, access rights management etc.
