Our mission is to help people integrate technology into everyday life and to enable innovation through technology.
We offer software development and infrastructure solutions, with advanced competences in Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. All our offices (in Western Europe or nearshore, in CEE) are located within the boundaries of the European Union.
We believe working in close cooperation with our clients and employees is the key to success; this means we offer people the best working environment in order to achieve the best results. We love entrepreneurial spirits and encourage people around us to be proactive and make the best decisions not only for business, but for their own personal development.
Our nearshore Romanian offices are in Bucharest (Victoriei Square) and Iasi (Palace) and, with over 9000 team members at group level, we make sure we are always close to our customers.
What you will be working on:
You will join a large-scale transformation programme focused on digital identity, interoperability, and enterprise integration within highly regulated environments. The role sits at the intersection of solution architecture, system integration, backend engineering, and cross-functional coordination, with a strong emphasis on complex distributed systems and enterprise-grade technical delivery.
You will work closely with architects, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to design and evolve scalable solutions aligned with both technical and regulatory requirements, contributing to initiatives related to digital identity, authentication, and European interoperability standards.
The environment is heavily focused on JVM-based architectures, integration patterns, backend services, API ecosystems, and secure enterprise systems operating within banking and regulated domains.
What you will do:
- Contribute to the design and documentation of end-to-end solution architectures
- Analyze and coordinate complex system integrations across multiple enterprise platforms
- Work with distributed systems, APIs, event-driven architectures, and complex data flows
- Evaluate architectural trade-offs related to scalability, resilience, security, and performance
- Collaborate closely with development teams, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders
- Read, understand, review, and discuss JVM-based codebases and backend implementations
- Prototype or contribute to integration components, backend services, and APIs when needed
- Support technical decision-making and contribute to sustainable architectural solutions
- Investigate system interdependencies and identify root causes across complex environments
- Participate in technical workshops, architecture discussions, and delivery coordination activities
- Contribute to solution governance, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team
- Support alignment between technical implementation and business or regulatory requirements
- Adapt to evolving priorities and contribute within fast-paced transformation programs
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise system integration, feature engineering, or technical leadership roles within banking, enterprise IT, or regulated environments
- Proven experience designing and documenting end-to-end architectures, working with distributed systems, integration patterns, complex data flows, and evaluating trade-offs related to scalability, resilience, performance, and security
- Strong experience with microservices architectures, event-driven systems, API platforms, high-availability environments, and high-throughput enterprise systems
- Hands-on experience within the JVM ecosystem (Java, Kotlin, Scala), with the ability to read and review existing codebases, prototype integration components or backend services, and collaborate closely with development teams and architects
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand complex system interdependencies, identify root causes, and contribute to sustainable technical solutions
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives across cross-functional teams
- Adaptable and proactive mindset, comfortable working within evolving transformation programmes and regulatory environments
- Advanced English communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with banking, identity, or authentication-related platforms
- Exposure to eIDAS programmes or digital identity initiatives, such as eIDAS 1.0 / 2.0, EUDI Wallet, trust services, electronic identification, or authentication and authorization platforms
- Familiarity with EU regulatory or cross-border interoperability programmes where compliance, standardization, and interoperability are key
- Strong understanding of security-by-design principles and non-functional architecture requirements
- Previous exposure to large-scale enterprise transformation programmes
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related IT field
Once on board we offer various programs and benefits:
- 22 working days as Annual Vacation plus 3 additional days off.
- Floating days
- Medical Insurance at Signal Iduna.
- Benefit Online platform access, with a 690 RON monthly allowance from which you can choose to invest in different wellbeing, financial or retail packages.
