Introduction & Summary:

Formats & Foundations is part of Core Experience Studio, dedicated to enhancing user engagement with creators and their content. The team is responsible for highly trafficked experiences including Artist, Album, Podcast, Episode, and Audiobook surfaces. As a Senior Client Engineer, you will focus on mobile craftsmanship, scalable architecture, and empower product teams through foundational tools. Your contributions will directly impact experiences used by millions daily.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and evolve mobile experiences across consumer surfaces.
• Contribute to reusable mobile foundations, frameworks, and platform capabilities.
• Lead technical initiatives for improving scalability and developer experience.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape product direction.
• Drive engineering quality through code reviews and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers and foster a collaborative engineering culture.
• Enhance workflows and documentation to support engineering standards.
• Participate in experimentation tied to future-facing content and experiences.
• Explore modern engineering workflows, including AI-assisted tools.
• Balance immediate product needs with long-term platform health.
  
  

Key Requirements:

• Strong experience building mobile applications using Swift and/or Kotlin.
• Experience with large-scale consumer-facing applications.
• Ability to design scalable and maintainable mobile systems.
