Senior Data Scientist / Fundamental Analyst

We are looking for a senior profile (3+ years experience) based in Oslo to strengthen our modelling and analytics team, working at the intersection of power-market fundamentals, data science, and AI.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain hydrology and weather-driven fundamental models, including snowmelt, inflow, reservoir dynamics and hydro, solar and wind power production – as a core part of our power-market modelling suite
• Apply data science and AI to large time-series datasets
• Work with European power-market fundamentals (supply, demand, hydro, renewables, transmission)
• Translate complex model output into actionable insights for customers and colleagues

What we're looking for

• 3+ years experience in energy analytics, hydropower modelling and/or weather-driven energy modelling
• Strong Python skills and experience with data-science tools
• Solid understanding of power-market fundamentals
• Experience with time-series modelling or forecasting
• Curiosity about – and ideally experience with – modern AI and machine learning approaches applied to physical systems
• Comfortable working independently in a small team, where tasks are varied and ownership is real
