Frontend Developer

My client has asked us to assist in identifying a sharp, self-driven UI Builder to own the front-end experience across their AI-powered products. You'll be the person who turns complex AI interactions into intuitive, beautiful interfaces — from conversational chatbot UIs to seamless third-party integrations. If you enjoy clean design systems, love working close to the product, you're comfortable wearing multiple hats, and you're already experimenting with AI-assisted dev tools, you'll fit right in. Must be comfortable working on a small team with massive ownership and visibility. No third parties, agencies or recruiters please.

What You'll Build

• Chatbot and conversational UI components with real-time responsiveness

• Front-end integrations with internal databases and backend APIs

• Connections to third-party platforms and services (CRMs, productivity tools, etc.)

• Dashboards and data-display layers for AI model outputs

• Scalable, reusable component libraries built for speed and maintainability

What They Are Looking For

• 5+ years of front-end/UI development experience, or a Computer Science degree from an accredited university (combination preferred)

• Strong proficiency in React (or similar modern framework — Vue, Svelte, etc.)

• Solid experience consuming and integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs

• Comfort working with databases at the front-end layer (query results, data visualization, state management)

• Experience building or integrating chat/conversational UIs is a major plus

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Claude, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, etc.) — or a clear plan to adopt them

• Strong commitment to testing your code — unit, component, and integration testing (Jest, Cypress, or similar)

• Portfolio and/or GitHub profile demonstrating real-world UI work (required)

• Comfortable in an async, remote-first environment with minimal hand-holding

• Startup mindset — you contribute beyond your lane when needed and thrive without a rigid playbook

• Strong eye for UX/UI — you care about how it looks and how it works

Nice to Have

• Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)

• Background in building SaaS or AI-native products

• Familiarity with WebSockets or streaming interfaces for real-time AI output

• Design tool experience (Figma, etc.)

• Experience with version control workflows and PR-based code reviews (Git/GitHub)
