Description

GlobalLogic is seeking a Senior Mobile Test Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts for a suite of high-fidelity medical technology applications. This role is focused on ensuring the reliability and performance of native iOS applications, including sophisticated 3D visualizations powered by OpenGL. You will be responsible for testing both legacy systems and new native applications within a highly regulated environment, ensuring that life-critical software meets the highest safety and compliance standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on native mobile applications.
• iOS Expertise: Deep understanding of testing native iOS applications, including familiarity with Swift, SwiftUI, and mobile-specific design patterns.
• Graphics Awareness: Hands-on experience or strong technical understanding of testing applications that utilize OpenGL for 3D visualization.
• Regulated Industry Knowledge: Proven experience delivering software within a regulated environment (e.g., healthcare, medical devices, or biotech) is strongly preferred.
• Automation Tooling: Proficiency with mobile automation frameworks and mobile CI/CD release tooling.
• Documentation Excellence: Experience managing compliance-related documentation and quality analysis for regulated software changes.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate quality standards with distributed engineering and leadership teams.
  
  
  

Job responsibilities

• Mobile Quality Strategy: Define and execute comprehensive manual and automated testing strategies for native iOS applications built with Swift and SwiftUI.
• Visualization Testing: Develop specialized testing protocols for high-performance 2D/3D visualizations utilizing OpenGL to ensure rendering accuracy and performance.
• Regulated Compliance: Perform quality analysis and Design History File (DHF) remediation for regulated product changes, ensuring all activities meet medical software standards.
• Regression & Automation: Implement and maintain automated regression suites specifically for mobile environments to ensure stable releases.
• Release Management: Support mobile-specific CI/CD pipelines and coordinate with the engineering team on app-store release readiness.
• Legacy & New Product Support: Manage testing lifecycles for ongoing maintenance of legacy apps while simultaneously validating feature development for a next-generation mobile platform.
• Knowledge Transfer: Participate in structured transition activities to assume ownership of mobile codebases and build/release runbooks from external partners.
