Job Title: SDE (Frontend / Full-Stack Webapp, React + Python + SQL)

Location: IIT Kanpur

Duration: 6 Months

Work Mode: 6 Days WFO

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated SDE Intern to join our engineering team. You will work on developing intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces, while collaborating with design, backend, and cloud teams to deliver seamless product experiences.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building real-world web applications and wants hands-on experience across React frontend development, API integration, Python-based services, and SQL-backed data workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain responsive user interfaces using React.js.
• Build reusable and scalable UI components.
• Build dashboards, forms, search/filter flows, data tables, and user-facing webapp screens.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs.
• Work with data and ensure efficient rendering of complex datasets.
• Assist in consuming and interacting with Python-based services.
• Write and optimize basic SQL queries for data retrieval.
• You may work on study dashboards, upload flows, search/filter interfaces, data tables, viewer pages, and admin workflows.
• Debug issues, fix bugs, and improve application performance.
• Collaborate with team members in design discussions and code reviews.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code and maintain all documentations.

Required Skills:

• Strong fundamentals in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with React.js, including functional components and hooks.
• Basic understanding of Python.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including CRUD operations and joins.
• Experience using Git/version control.
• Good problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Good to Have:

• Familiarity with Tailwind CSS, Material UI or similar UI libraries.
• Experience handling or visualizing structured/large datasets.
• Familiarity with async programming and API handling.
• Basic understanding of performance optimization in frontend apps.
• Interest in healthcare technology, imaging workflows, or DICOM-based systems is a plus.
