Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced Kotlin Engineers to join a front-office engineering team building a next-generation cloud-hosted issuance platform for Investment Banking Capital Markets. The platform supports real-time bookbuilding workflows for global debt and equity issuances, replacing a legacy system with a modern, scalable architecture designed for high availability, resilience, and rapid delivery of business functionality. This is a hands-on engineering role suited for developers who thrive in collaborative, high-performance environments and are passionate about engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and clean software design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Kotlin
• Collaborate closely through mob programming and shared development practices
• Deliver small, incremental, testable changes with high code quality standards
• Contribute across the full software lifecycle including development, integration, deployment, and production support
• Improve platform resilience, observability, and operational stability
• Support production systems with strict availability and correctness requirements
• Continuously refine architecture and codebase through refactoring and clean code practices
• Work closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and business users in a front-office environment.

Key Requirements:

Strong commercial experience developing backend applications in Kotlin

Deep understanding and practical experience with Extreme Programming (XP) methodologies, including:

• Mob programming
• Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Continuous refactoring
• Clean code and maintainable architecture principles

Strong experience building and operating cloud-native systems on GCP / enterprise cloud platforms, including:

• GKE and/or Cloud Run
• Cloud SQL
• Memorystore
• Artifact Registry
• Cloud Logging / observability tooling
• Key Management services

Experience working within CI/CD pipelines and mature SDLC processes

Comfortable working in regulated enterprise environments with strong governance and quality standards

Experience supporting business-critical production systems

Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills

Ability to work effectively within highly collaborative engineering teams
