About the Role

As Junior Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Advisor, you will support MAQIT’s clients in aligning their Regulatory IT needs with key compliance requirements within the financial industry.

You will work alongside experienced consultants and gain hands-on exposure to regulatory technology, IT governance, and compliance. You will assist clients in translating regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, DORA, PSD2, and EBA Guidelines into clear, actionable steps to help them remain compliant in a fast-changing regulatory environment.

This role is ideal for candidates with client-facing experience and an interest in technology, compliance, and financial services. Recent graduates and early-career professionals with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

What You Will Do

• Assist in gathering and preparing compliance documentation for audits and internal reviews
• Support the creation of reports related to outsourcing oversight and regulatory obligations
• Contribute to client onboarding processes, particularly for Electronic Money Institutions (EMI) and Payment Institutions (PI)
• Participate in training sessions, webinars, and client workshops as a support or co-host
• Work closely with project managers on internal organization and documentation
• Learn to assess client systems and identify potential compliance gaps
• Support clients with questions related to IT compliance and regulatory standards, with guidance from senior team members
• Assist in drafting policies, procedures, and governance documentation
• Support clients during IT regulatory audits and compliance assessments

• Comfortable using AI tools, LLMs, or prompt engineering, or eager to learn 

Languages

• Fluent in English and French
• German is considered a strong advantage 

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Business, Law, or a related field
• Previous experience supporting or working with ITO/CISO functions is a strong plus
• Any internship or experience related to compliance, IT security, audit, or regulated industries is advantageous
• Interest in financial services, IT governance, cybersecurity, and data protection
• Must have hands-on familiarity with frameworks such as GDPR, DORA, PSD2, or EBA Guidelines
