Android Developer – Kotlin & Jetpack Compose

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate!

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for a highly skilled Android Developer with strong expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development practices. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building scalable, maintainable, and high-performance mobile applications using Jetpack Compose and modern architectural patterns.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Implement clean, scalable, and modular application architectures such as MVVM or MVI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Designers, QA Engineers, and Backend Developers.
• Develop reusable UI components and ensure responsive, high-quality user experiences.
• Integrate REST APIs and manage networking efficiently.
• Implement modularization strategies to improve scalability and maintainability.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and UI tests to ensure application reliability and quality.
• Configure and maintain dependency injection using Koin.
• Work with Firebase services such as Analytics, Crashlytics, Push Notifications, Remote Config, or Firestore.
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Contribute to code reviews and maintain coding standards and best practices.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while proactively communicating progress and blockers.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Hands-on experience with Android architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVI.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and modularization.
• Experience writing unit tests and UI tests.
• Hands-on experience with Koin for dependency injection.
• Experience working with Firebase products.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• 6+ years of experience in Android application development.
• Proven experience building and deploying production-grade Android applications.
