Senior Business Intelligence Developer

Role: Sr. Data Analyst

Location: Amsterdam Area, NL

Job Description:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken English.
• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer in a data-driven or product-focused environment.
• Strong expertise in:
• Power BI Desktop (data modeling, DAX, Power Query / M)
• Star schema / dimensional data modeling
• Building optimized, user-friendly dashboards and reports
• Strong SQL skills with experience in cloud data warehouses (Google BigQuery or similar).
• Experience with Power BI Service, including workspaces, dataflows, gateways, and deployment processes.
• Knowledge of performance tuning and handling large datasets.
• Understanding of data security and governance (RLS/OLS).

Soft Skills & Collaboration

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of end-to-end analytics solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills in cross-functional teams (product, engineering, analytics, business stakeholders).
• Ability to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience in supply chain, logistics, or fulfillment analytics.
• Exposure to CI/CD or modern deployment practices for BI solutions.
