Description
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced issues across SD‑WAN, WAN, LAN/WLAN, VPN/SASE, and load balancing systems, ensuring alignment with financial sector regulations.
- Execute network configuration updates using standardized templates and security guidelines, while maintaining proper audit documentation.
- Review and verify device setups, firmware status, and adherence to established baseline configurations and industry requirements.
- Assist in deploying new sites and services through Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) and Infrastructure-as-Code approaches.
- Oversee routing configurations, QoS policies, wireless optimisation, and updates to load balancing environments.
- Work closely with vendors to address escalated connectivity or hardware issues, ensuring compliance obligations are fulfilled.
- Support automated impact evaluations and risk assessments for network changes, with emphasis on service continuity and resilience.
- Take part in ongoing service improvement efforts, including monitoring enhancements and capacity planning.
- Offer technical support and mentorship to Level 2 engineers, helping to elevate team capabilities.
Profile
- Over 4 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, including advanced support and implementation within regulated environments, particularly in the financial sector.
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, architecture, operational environments, and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record in handling complex incidents, managing changes, and optimizing network performance.
- Experience with data center networking technologies, as well as cloud and security services (Azure, AWS, load balancing, DNS).
- Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments, with solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with ITSM processes, SD-WAN/VPN concepts, and tools such as ServiceNow.
- Experience or exposure to SASE solutions (e.g., Fortinet or Netskope).
- Advanced level of English, both written and spoken, essential for producing audit-ready documentation and communicating confidently with senior and executive stakeholders.
