Automation Test Engineer

We are currently looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join a high-performing Fund Trading Platform team working on Investment Funds trading systems.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced consultant who enjoys building scalable automation frameworks while also bringing a strong manual testing mindset for complex backend and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks

• Create robust automated tests for functional, regression, and integration testing

• Execute manual testing where automation is not yet practical or cost-effective

• Collaborate closely with Development, DevOps, and Product teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines

• Prepare and manage test data, analyse results, and report defects clearly

• Improve testing processes and automate repetitive quality assurance tasks

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Strong Java 21+ experience

• Solid experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate

• Expertise in Selenium, Playwright, JUnit/TestNG, Cucumber, or similar tools

• API testing experience using REST Assured or similar

• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge

• Experience testing asynchronous/event-driven systems (Kafka, JMS, MQ)

• Understanding of OpenAPI and AsyncAPI

• Hands-on experience with Git and Jenkins/CI pipelines

• Strong understanding of OOP principles and design patterns

• Experience with both automation and manual testing in complex backend-heavy environments

• Strong English communication skills
