Global IT Manager Opportunity in Gothenburg

I'm looking for an experienced IT Manager to join an international organisation headquartered in Gothenburg. This position will oversee everything from cyber security and cloud platforms to end-user infrastructure and remote operational systems used internationally.

You will work closely with engineering and operational teams to ensure secure connectivity, reliable support services, and resilient systems across a geographically distributed environment. Alongside day-to-day operational leadership, there will be a strong focus on improving processes, strengthening security practices, and helping to standardize technology operations globally.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys operating in a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same, combining infrastructure oversight, security management, vendor coordination, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage global IT operations across multiple international sites and remote teams.
• Oversee cyber security controls, user access management, and incident handling.
• Support cloud platforms, end-user technology, and business-critical infrastructure.
• Ensure reliable connectivity and support for remote operational and field systems.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors, telecom providers, and managed service partners.
• Drive improvements across IT governance, support processes, and operational resilience.

Requirements:

• Strong background in IT Operations, Infrastructure, or Cyber Security.
• Experience support multi-site or internationally distributed teams.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, networking, endpoint management, and identity/access controls.
• Experience with operational technology, remote systems, or hardware-linked environments.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable balancing strategic improvements with hands-on operational responsibilities.
