Security & IT Manager
The Role
As a Security & IT Manager at Res2 you will be responsible for overseeing information security and internal IT.
Security – You will be responsible for the security of Res2’s information, systems, and operational processes in line with best practices and our ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS). You are a key member of the security team, ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated, and that security controls are implemented and continuously improved across the organization.
Further opportunity to expand the role: If it aligns with your skillset, you may also be involved in security-related aspects of our development process, including (but not limited) to our Azure Cloud security architecture.
Internal IT – In addition to security, you will also be responsible for Res2’s internal IT landscape. While most of our internal IT is outsource, we are looking for someone to work together with our IT Partner to ensure that our systems and office environment are secure, available, and align with the needs of our team.
Since we are a small team, you will also be involved in other general challenges or projects that may arise from day to day. Your will report to the COO.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve Res2’s ISO 27001 Information Security Management System.
- Act as the primary point of contact for our IT Partner and manage their performance, compliance, priorities, and deliverables.
- Assist in the technical implementation and management of IT projects.
- Ensure hardware, software, systems, our local network, and the office environment are up to date and secure.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes from an IT perspective (accounts, access, devices)
- Check if data backups are performed regularly and improve procedures where necessary.
- Review logging, monitoring, and backup processes to ensure they meet security and business continuity requirements.
- Coordinate IT-related incidents and ensure timely resolution.
- Document IT processes, solutions, and inventory.
- Work collaboratively with other IT professionals and vendors.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company is utilizing the best possible resources.
Your Required skills
- IT Knowledge – solid understanding of modern workplace IT environments (endpoints, network, hardware)
- Communication skills – Strong communication in English (Dutch would be beneficial)
- Project Management – You work in a structured manner and keep track of deadlines
- Vendor Management – A significant part of your role involves selecting and managing suppliers
- Information security knowledge – Good understanding of security principles and information security management systems (e.g., ISO 27001)
- Hands-on – As we are a small team, you not only manage and coordinate, but also take ownership and execute when needed
- Beneficial but not required: Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments, including security tooling and Azure Cloud.
What we offer
- Gross monthly salary between €4.500 - €6.000 on full-time basis and depending on your experience
- A one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent contract
