We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable team member who will represent Ford Otosan in key regulatory domains and contribute to our leadership in connected, automated, and compliant vehicle technologies.
Job Description
• Plan test activities and develop test case specifications for new and updated connected vehicle software functions in Ford Trucks projects.
• Execute test cases in bench (desktop), hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and vehicle environments and prepare software test reports.
• Detect and report software defects and collaborate with connected vehicle features software development engineers to help resolve software issues.
• Develop unit tests implemented in the C programming language.
• Perform cyber security and MISRA C compliance static tests using commercially available software tools.
• Identify and realize the potential for automated test execution and assessment using test automation tools.
• Prepare high quality engineering documentation on test activities and regularly report on project status to internal and external contributors.
• Utilize from ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) tools such as Codebeamer to document and execute test cases.
Requirements
• B.S/M.S. degree in mechatronics, controls, electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with embedded systems and software.
• Professional Level experience with C programming language.
• Experience in developing unit tests in C programming language.
• Familiarity with automotive/industrial software development and testing processes.
• Experience working with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems.
• Experience with automotive network communication protocols is a plus.
• Experience with CAN bus monitoring tools (such as Vector CANalyzer, Busmaster) is a plus.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD/CT).
• Foundation level ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification is a plus.
• Experience with software verification & validation according to a functional safety standard is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work individually or as part of an engineering team in a fast-paced environment.
