Quality Assurance Engineer

Test Engineer – SaaS (Web/Mobile) on Azure

Location: Open for Kristiansand or Stavanger

Start date: 1st June 2026

Contract Duration: 12 months

Role

Test engineer responsible for validating quality, reliability, and security of commercial SaaS applications (web and mobile on iOS/Android) hosted on Azure. You’ll work closely with developers, product owners, and domain experts to do hands-on testing and ensure features ship with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute test plans for new features, regressions, and releases.

• Perform functional, integration, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile apps.

• Track, reproduce, and clearly document defects; drive issues to resolution with the team.

• Support non-functional testing: performance, reliability, and basic security validation.

• Participate in reviews (requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria) to improve testability.

• Contribute to test documentation (test cases, checklists, release readiness notes).

Qualifications

• 5+ years (or equivalent) testing production software in agile teams.

• Experience testing commercial web applications and/or mobile apps (iOS/Android).

• Familiar with Azure-based systems and environments (deployments, logs, monitoring).

• Detail-oriented communicator who can collaborate across technical and non-technical roles.

• Good SQL skills and confidence working with data-heavy systems.

• Hands-on test automation experience, API testing tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAST/DAST outputs and verification of fixes (or security-minded testing).

• Performance testing experience (e.g., JMeter/k6) and observability tooling.

• Domain familiarity: drilling & wells, WITSML, Cognite/CDF, and/or OSDU.
