Job Title: Data Product Owner / Scrum Master (PO/SM)

Experience

8-12 years of overall IT experience

5+ years as Product Owner and/or Scrum Master in Agile environments

India | Hybrid / Onsite

Role Summary

Experienced Data Product Owner / Scrum Master responsible for driving Agile delivery, managing product backlog, and ensuring alignment between business, data, and technology teams. This role combines product ownership with Scrum facilitation to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership

Own and prioritize product backlog aligned with business goals

Define product vision, roadmap, and release planning

Convert business/data requirements into user stories with acceptance criteria

Ensure backlog readiness and alignment with stakeholder priorities

Scrum Master & Agile Delivery

Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives)

Remove impediments and ensure smooth sprint execution

Track Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, release progress)

Drive Agile best practices and continuous improvement

Stakeholder & Delivery Management

Act as interface between business, product, and development teams

Conduct backlog grooming and requirement discussions

Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and dependencies

Ensure alignment with governance and delivery standards

Data & Platform Focus

Work closely with data teams, architects, and engineers

Ensure data-driven solutions meet business and quality expectations

Support UAT validation and release readiness

Coordinate across cross-functional and distributed teams

Required Skills

Strong Agile/Scrum experience (PO/SM role)

Experience with backlog management and stakeholder coordination

Hands-on exposure to Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence)

Strong communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

Scrum certifications (CSM / PSM / SAFe)

Experience in enterprise/data platforms

Exposure to large-scale Agile environments
