Human Resource Business Partner | 12-month Contract | Sydney CBD | Part-time Wed-Friday | $150K + Super (Pro rata)


About the role

This is a standout opportunity to step into a senior HR advisory role within a large, complex public sector organisation in Sydney. On a 12-month fixed-term contract working Wednesday to Friday, you'll act as a trusted partner to business units across the organisation advising on people practices, managing complex employee and industrial relations matters, and driving meaningful cultural and performance outcomes. What you'll be doing:

  • Providing expert HR generalist advice to corporate clients and key business units across a large, complex organisation
  • Managing employee and industrial relations matters end-to-end, including complex casework and grievance management
  • Partnering with specialist teams across Recruitment, L&D, Diversity & Inclusion, WHS, and Payroll
  • Leading and contributing to change management initiatives using established organisational change frameworks
  • Designing and implementing HR solutions that deliver measurable people and organisational outcomes
  • Embedding cultural values through targeted initiatives and coaching of managers and employees


What we're looking for:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (degree or diploma level)
  • Proven HR generalist experience within large or complex organisations, particularly with corporate client groups
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex casework including performance, misconduct, and grievances
  • Consultative, relationship-driven approach with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislative and industrial frameworks (Awards, Enterprise Agreements, Fair Work Act)
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a part-time capacity and managing competing priorities
