• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Data Science Roadmap by leveraging knowledge of business objectives and current data and analytics capabilities
• Utilise best practices, emerging trends, market context and professional networks to inform and shape data science strategy
• Identify capability gaps and develop innovative solutions to address them, maintaining an up-to-date catalogue of Data Science services
• Develop, manage and apply a comprehensive catalogue of Data Science services that maximises internal capabilities and reduces reliance on external providers
• Proactively design and create new Data Science services in anticipation of future business needs
• Build strong stakeholder relationships through an embedded-services approach, positioning yourself as a trusted member of their team
• Deliver accurate, practical and timely Data Science solutions that meet best practice standards
• Clearly communicate commercial impact and provide actionable recommendations alongside all Data Science outputs
• Lead and continuously improve team processes and ways of working to exceed best practice standards
• Drive innovation across Data Science delivery by staying ahead of industry developments and translating them into tangible business value
  
  

• Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Actuarial Studies, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field highly desirable
• 2+ years as a Data Scientist with a proven track record of delivering solutions that generate material commercial impact
• Extensive hands-on experience across supervised and unsupervised ML techniques, including deep learning, neural networks, regression (linear, logistic, polynomial), classification, k-means clustering, NLP, Bayesian inference, and explainable AI.
• Strong ability to select and apply the right quantitative approach for each problem, including experimental design, A/B testing frameworks, and appropriate performance metrics to clearly demonstrate business impact.
• Advanced programming skills in Python and/or R, with experience delivering well-architected, production-ready code using version control (e.g., Git) and distributed computing via Spark or cloud-based platforms.
• Comfortable working iteratively within cross-functional teams, delivering MVPs rapidly, incorporating feedback continuously, and refining analytical solutions in an agile environment.
• Confident engaging with senior leadership and business executives to define problem statements, present findings, and translate complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable commercial insights.
• A calm, results-driven, and approachable professional who can manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
