The Role

Looking for a BI role where you’ll get genuine breadth, exposure to modern technologies, and the opportunity to grow your engineering capability within a large enterprise environment?

Adbri’s Corporate IT team is continuing to invest heavily in its enterprise data and reporting capability, with newly acquired businesses bringing additional systems, data sources, and reporting requirements into the environment. You’ll enjoy the variety that comes with working on new reports, integrations, and business challenges spanning different areas of the organisation. You’ll work across modern BI, cloud data platforms, and automation tools to deliver scalable, reliable, and business-aligned insights.

The role offers a strong mix of both BAU support and project-based development work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and stakeholder interaction alongside hands-on technical work.

Work across Power BI, Databricks, SQL, Python, MS Fabric, REST APIs, and Azure while gaining exposure to a wide range of operational, production, HR, sustainability, and business reporting projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working as part of Adbri’s Business Systems team, your role will include:

  • Developing and enhancing Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Supporting users with reporting queries, investigations, and data issues
  • Maintaining and enhancing Databricks pipelines and integrations
  • Working with large and complex datasets from multiple business systems
  • Assisting with onboarding and integration of new data sources from acquired businesses
  • Gathering reporting requirements directly from internal stakeholders
  • Supporting daily data flows from operational systems, SaaS platforms, APIs, and sensors
  • Contributing to ongoing improvements across Adbri’s modern data environment

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone with strong technical foundations, curiosity, and the aptitude to break down complex datasets and business problems to deliver meaningful insights and solutions. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Proven experience developing, optimising, and maintaining SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
  • Experience designing Power BI dashboards and reports using Python
  • Experience building, maintaining, or enhancing data pipelines using Databricks
  • Experience interfacing with REST APIs to extract and push data between systems
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and confidence working with large, complex datasets
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders

Desirable

  • Experience with Tableau, Azure/AWS, or data integration projects
  • Exposure to SharePoint, Power Platform, and Power Automate
  • Merger & Acquisitions exposure
