About Xe

At Xe, we live currencies. We provide a comprehensive range of currency services and products — our Currency Converter, Market Analysis, Currency Data API, and quick, secure Money Transfers for individuals and businesses. Last year, we helped over 300 million people access currency information and over 225,000 customers send money overseas.

We're at a pivotal moment to transform how customers discover, engage with, and use our services in an increasingly digital-first world. With strong brand recognition, trusted infrastructure, and a global footprint, we're focused on accelerating growth through innovative products, modern marketing, and world-class customer experiences.

About This Role

This isn't a traditional analyst role. We're looking for a builder — someone who treats data as raw material, writes code to turn it into something useful, and ships things into the wild to see what happens.

You'll sit at the intersection of analytics, engineering, and growth. One day you might be digging into funnel drop-off in SQL; the next, you're prototyping an internal tool that auto-generates audience segments, wiring up an API to personalise a landing page, or deploying a script that runs an experiment across channels before anyone else has finished writing the brief.

Reporting to the Growth Manager, you'll be trusted to identify opportunities, build the solution yourself, deploy it, measure it, and iterate — fast. If your favourite phrase is "I'll just build it," and you get a kick out of watching something you shipped move a metric, you'll feel at home here.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Build internal tools and automations — dashboards, scripts, and small applications that give the team superpowers (think: automated cohort builders, alerting systems, lifecycle-stage detectors, AI-assisted reporting workflows).
  • Ship customer-facing experiments — landing pages, on-site personalisation, dynamic content, lifecycle flows. You'll own the build, the test, and the readout.
  • Engineer the data layer — wire up pipelines, clean event tracking, build attribution models, and connect tools so the team works off one source of truth.
  • Prototype with AI — use LLMs and modern tooling to compress weeks of work into days. We want someone who's already doing this and wants to push further.
  • Run rigorous experiments — design A/B and multivariate tests, set them up end-to-end, analyse results properly (statistical significance, not vibes), and decide what ships.
  • Translate behaviour into insight — analyse customer, marketing, and product data across acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion. Find the bottleneck. Propose the fix. Then build it.
  • Watch the market — track competitors in cross-border payments (pricing, UX, product moves) and use that to sharpen our own bets.

You'll Probably Thrive Here If You…

  • Have 2+ years in growth, analytics, product analytics, engineering, — ideally in fintech, eCommerce, SaaS, or another fast-moving digital environment. Background matters less than what you've shipped.
  • Can write code to solve your own problems — comfortable with SQL plus at least one of Python / JavaScript / similar. You don't wait for an engineering ticket to get things done.
  • Are fluent in an analytics platform (Amplitude, Mixpanel, GA4, Power BI, or similar) and have opinions about instrumentation.
  • Have run real A/B tests end-to-end — design, execution, analysis, decision — and know the difference between a result that's significant and one that just looks good.
  • Are AI-native — you already use LLMs and modern tools to move faster, and you're curious about where this goes next.
  • Have shipped something — an internal tool, a side project, a scrappy automation, a Chrome extension, a working prototype. We want to see it.
  • Are a clear communicator who can explain a complex finding to a marketer, a PM, and a CFO without dumbing it down or drowning them.
  • Bonus: experience with marketing platforms (Google Ads, Iterable, etc.), customer data platforms, or experimentation infrastructure.

What This Role Isn't

It's not a pure reporting role. If you want to spend your days building slide decks, this isn't the right fit.

It's not a junior analyst role with training wheels. You'll be trusted to scope, build, and ship — with support, but with real ownership.

It's not a place where ideas wait six months for a roadmap slot. We move quickly and expect you to as well.

Our Principles

AMBITION — We dream big, try things out, and always ask "why not?" and "what if?"

RESPONSIBILITY — We get involved, bring our perspective, and take personal ownership.

COMMUNITY — We value belonging, trust, and authenticity. We contribute to our community.

When you apply, tell us about something you built — a tool, a test, an automation, an analysis that changed a decision. We care more about what you've shipped than where you went to school. Github links welcome!
