AI Engineer

We’re hiring an AI / LLM Engineer at BOND.

We’re building an AI platform that helps companies cut through the noise of European public tenders — not scraping, but actual matching, analysis, and pre-evaluation, so teams only see opportunities worth bidding on.

The MVP is live and our early-access pipeline already includes everyone from mid-sized SMEs to large international companies across Europe. We’re also currently seeing strong traction on the fundraising side as we move through our pre-seed round this year.

Our founding team includes experienced SaaS founders as well as a Vice President at BlackRock serving as co-founder.

Your first challenge:

Build a highly cost-efficient PDF extraction pipeline in TypeScript that can reliably identify products and product categories inside 400+ page tender documents.

The interesting part is not “using AI”.

It’s deciding when not to.

You’ll design the trade-offs:

– which pages deserve a frontier model

– what can be handled with cheaper parsers or smaller models

– how to chunk, cache, structure and evaluate outputs

– and how to make the system trustworthy at scale

You’ll work directly with the founding team and own the system end-to-end — from architecture decisions to production deployment.

What we’re looking for:

→ Strong TypeScript / Node.js skills

→ Real-world LLM experience (structured outputs, evals, RAG, tool calling, cost/latency trade-offs)

→ Experience with PDFs, OCR or document parsing

→ Pragmatic engineering mindset

→ Interest in building reliable systems, not demos

→ Ideally based near Vienna or Munich
