We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to work on the delivery of strategic initiatives by the Workplace Investing (WI) group.

You will support a team within Stock Plan Services (SPS), an emerging equity compensation services division of Fidelity Investments. You will work closely with the Squad Lead, Scrum Master, Technical Leads, Developers, Quality Assurance, and Architects to craft, build, test, and deliver the features that make up Fidelity’s Digital experiences. Quality is important to this team, as is our reputation for honesty and openness in dealing with each other and our partners.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Design, Human–Computer Interaction, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of front‑end/UI engineering or product UI development experience
  
  

Core Skillset

• Strong expertise in React and/or Angular
• Advanced HTML, CSS (Sass, CSS‑in‑JS), TypeScript/JavaScript
• Experience building responsive, accessible, and performant web interfaces
  
  

 UI/UX Engineering Expertise

• Experience implementing design systems and reusable component libraries
• Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and usability
• Familiarity with Figma, Storybook, or similar tooling
  
  

Accessibility & Quality

• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards
• Experience with cross‑browser compatibility and responsive design patterns
• Experience with frontend testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright)
  
  

Engineering Practices

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and frontend build tooling (Webpack, Vite, etc.)
• Proficient with Git-based workflows
  
  

Collaboration

• Experience working closely with designers, product owners, and backend teams
• Experience in distributed teams
• Experience with Agile delivery models desired
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments a plus
• Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools a plus

• Actively contribute to AWS pipeline management and bring forward ideas to improve efficiencies of our pipelines.
• Actively contribute to engineering practices such as code and design reviews and the definition of source control strategy, environment strategy, and build and deployment pipeline.
• Work with product owner, technical lead and architect as required to influence technical enhancements to the platform.
• Develop a strong understanding of the business domain you are working on and actively contribute to technology discussions with business partners and other external parties.
• Contribute to software development as an individual contributor on a development track.
• Provide 3rd level production support, where and when necessary.
