Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join a customer-facing project in Luxembourg. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python-based automation frameworks, API testing, system integration testing, and banking domain knowledge, particularly in payments and credit card processing.

This role requires hands-on experience in designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions for web and mobile applications while collaborating closely with development, QA, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts
• Perform system integration, functional, and non-functional testing
• Execute REST API testing and validation
• Develop automation solutions using Python with Playwright or Selenium
• Support mobile application test automation activities
• Participate in UAT execution and coordination
• Collaborate with development and business teams to ensure quality delivery
• Manage and maintain test repositories and CI/CD integration workflows
• Identify defects, track issues, and support resolution activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in Structured and Object-Oriented Programming using Python
• Hands-on experience with:
• Playwright (preferred) or Selenium
• Python requests library
• REST API testing
• Experience using VS Code for Python automation development and debugging
• Experience with test management and automation frameworks/tools, preferably:
• Azure DevOps
• Robot Framework
• Good understanding of:
• SQL programming (preferably MSSQL)
• NoSQL databases (preferably CosmosDB)
• Experience in:
• System Integration Testing
• Functional & Non-Functional Testing
• Mobile application testing
• Knowledge of Git workflows and repository management
• Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments

Domain Experience

• Experience in the Banking sector is highly preferred
• Knowledge of:
• Credit card systems
• Payment processing workflows
• Financial transaction systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Temenos Transact Core Banking System
• ISTQB Certification (Foundation or Advanced)
• RFCP – Robot Framework Certified Professional certification
